For more than 10 years, ITEC has served as IEEE’s premier conference on transportation electrification, fostering connections between industry and academia. This year’s conference will be held from June 21-23, 2023, at the newly renovated Huntington Place Convention Center, located in downtown Detroit, Michigan and within walking distance of top-of-the-line restaurants and entertainment. Join us on June 20th for a welcome reception to network and pick up your registration materials.
What is ITEC about?
ITEC is aimed at helping the industry in the transition from conventional vehicles to advanced electrified vehicles. The conference is focused on components, systems, standards, and grid interface technologies, related to efficient power conversion for all types of electrified transportation, including electric vehicles, hybrid electric vehicles, and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (EVs, HEVs, and PHEVs) as well as heavy-duty, rail, and off-road vehicles and airplanes and ships.

This fast-paced growth – plus the push to electrify everything – drives the need for rapid adoption of new technologies, like bidirectional and wireless charging, smarter grids, and more resource-efficient drivetrains. Cruise tickets are available on a first come first served basis. This reception is being held on a separate floor from the SWRI Sponsored Industry Night Dinner Cruise. For the first 60 registrants the cost of entry is sponsored by IEEE, PELS, and IAS. For any registrants beyond the first 60, the cost is $75.
Those who are students or have been in industry ten years or less are welcome to attend. Several speakers have been arranged as well as drinks and dinner provided.

Huntington Place is the 17th largest convention center in the United States. Built by the City of Detroit, it was originally opened in 1960 and named Cobo Hall in honor of former Detroit Mayor Albert E. Cobo. The Huntington Place is among ‘best in class’ of regionally and nationally competitive US convention centers.
