From service robots that interact with customers to flotation capsule, event shows that companies in the sector are committed to creating new levels of experience

São Paulo, September 2022 – The use of robots for service and interaction with people can already be used in shopping malls, hotels, restaurants, bars, spas and hospitals in services such as helping in locating, receiving people and even delivering orders. The technology is part of a set of solutions for the entire hospitality chain available at Equipotel, an event that takes place at the São Paulo Expo (SP) until Friday (16).

Configured by systems to travel certain distances and enable assertive deliveries, "robots were initially designed in the pandemic, to deliver medicines and food in isolation wards by covid in hospitals", explains Luiz Braga, commercial coordinator of new products at Sou Tech, startup responsible for solutions, technology investment arm of Sou Energy.

The company made available the three models of the portfolio - PuduBot, a pioneer in deliveries; the second generation, BellaBot, with the ability to interact, react to touch and presentation of different expressions; and KettyBot, which in addition to deliveries has the ability to show information, such as images of dishes and menus and advertisements on a screen, in addition to voice interaction and ability to guide people to the desired location.

As a way to expand the hosting experiences, another highlight of the event is the flotation capsule, new in the Brazilian market. It is a structure similar to a bathtub that can be closed, with adequate lighting, possibility of inclusion of ambient sounds, and that allows the user a therapy experience by fluctuation.

"It is a capsule that works sensory deprivation. One thousand liters of water and 550 kg of Epsom salt, magnesium sulfate, the main mineral of our body, responsible for alleviate physical fatigue and fatigue are used. The process works physical issues, such as improvement of muscle regeneration, blood circulation, small pains such as fibromyalgia arthritis, insomnia, since every hour float is equivalent to four to six hours of sleep, mental and emotional as depression and anxiety, reasoning ability, self-esteem works", points out Christian Gaspar, director and founder of Acqua float, the company responsible for manufacturing the product in the country.

According to the manager, the United States currently has more than 12,000 flotation capsules. In Brazil, there are 15 in four places: a floating center in São Paulo, a spa in Campinas and another in Brasilia and a concept hotel in the city of Gramado. "Our goal is to grow gradually and if we sell 500 capsules in five years, we will meet our business plan," gaspar adds.

LG Business Solutions brought air conditioning technology, digital monitors and the TV model TV Hotel Pro:Centric, the company's global product that has an integrated content management system, allows customization and access to hotel services, such as account tracking, order fulfillment and information consultation. "It is possible to order a meal, a soap, a towel, to book the spa, for example, with a remote control click, eliminating the paper account on the last day," explains Thiago Correa, senior manager and head of hospitality at the company.

Vega I.T. offers Vega TV, with features for placing orders, checking accounts and indicating attractions around hotels, also enabling the hotelier to partner with other establishments, as a way to expand the experience. The solution is tied to the Hotel Xperience app, "where the guest can access the hotel's features, including checkout. In the application it is also possible to integrate the VSkey, device that allows the opening of the room door via bluetooth", highlights Matheus Queiroz Agapito, marketing and design coordinator of the company.

Other novelties for management and automation of establishments, including check-in systems and digital payments, technologies for bars, kitchens and laundries and leisure areas can be checked at Equipotel, which has more than 320 brands and 3,000 products on display.

To extend the immersive visitor experience, the organizers made available the Virtual Experience Room, an attraction in which it is possible to meet two models of hotel suite, with virtual reality glasses.
