More than comfort and aesthetics, interior decoration bets on the connection of environments with the five human senses, respect for the circadian cycle and items in wood and fibers to offer experiences that go beyond satisfaction

São Paulo, September 2022 – Ground colors, organic shapes, presence of woods and fibers are gaining more space in hotel chains, inns, resorts, bars and restaurants reinforcing the importance of comfort, well-being and the connection with nature, as fundamental elements in decoration. These have been the trends presented by exhibitors from different regions of Brazil at Equipotel, both in external and internal environments.

One of the attractions of the event, the Design Suite, is an example of what has been valued in the rooms by combining neuroarchitecture concepts, such as the importance of a lighting designed in respect of the human biological cycle, with lights that represent the decrease in the rhythm of the body for proper rest, warmer colors, which reinforce warmth and comfort, the symmetry of wooden furniture and frames, hoe items and carpets with textures to convey the feeling of welcome, in addition to the presence of ceramic vases and plants to stimulate the connection with the environment and mirror with light activation via touch; all combined with the latest decorative novelties of Milan.

"We also brought in the suite, acoustic doors and windows, avoiding high intensity noises, so that the hotel room is extremely comfortable. Neuroarchitecture is a study on the importance of people's relationship with the city and spaces, highlighting the relationship with five senses, responsible for the good relationship with the environments", explains Chris Paola, neuroarchitect and designer, responsible for the project.

The simulation of wood, linen and marble in warm or soft colors has gained prominence in the decoration coatings, with product options that make it possible to transform indoor and outdoor environments in a practical way and without waste generation, based on the concept of DIY (do it yourself), besides having novelties that reinforce safety, how to be antimold and not spread flames. "There are several solutions, not only for wall cladding, but for furniture, glass, countertops, refrigerators, elevators," said Paulo Lima, commercial representative of Alltak, a company specialized in the solution.

The organic shape combined with nature is also in objects such as carpets, chandeliers and coffee tables in circles, such as the Curvas Marelyn sofa, made of a natural fiber called rattan, made by artisans from southern Indonesia, which combines aesthetics and comfort and can be used indoors and outdoor, as it resists weather conditions. With sizes of 1.8 meters and 3 meters, the furniture is made in oval shape with a concave curvature and has been sought after by hospitality players. "Inns usually like something special, more rustic, they seek something that attracts attention. I have also been looking for hotels with an interest in including the sofa in spaces with beach tennis court, for waiting places, something I had never thought of. It also has developments that they want to put in the living", reveals Caroline Palaoro, owner of Biasá, a company that imports the furniture of the Asian country, produced in natural fibers, in addition to rattan, mandola and bamboo.

On trend, the manager adds "organic formats are on the rise. I believe they fit better in spaces, people like it and it's easier to include in projects."

Other highlights with organic shapes are items such as mirrors, luminaires and that break with the static characteristic of objects, case of the set of mirrors of different shapes and sizes that can be used in environments such as halls, bedrooms, bathrooms, rooms, receptions, Madeplan Design, some made with reforestation wood, and the floor lamp Gweilo, alloy, composed of acrylic with LED lighting and in a shape that looks like a veil, imported from Spain.

Considered the largest hospitality fair in Latin America, Equipotel takes place to this day (16), at The São Paulo Expo (SP) and is organization of RX. Information and accreditation in https://www.equipotel.com.br/.
