Many people think that the metal industry is a sleeping giant - self-sufficient and slow to change. In fact, it is a unique industry powerhouse facing many of its own challenges and opportunities. There are some major challenges we need to address in the coming years, such as skills shortages, effective recycling and post-Brexit trade.

British Metal Expo will be the first time the entire industry has been showcased and gathered under one roof.

British Metal Expo benefits from the full support and partnership of the British Metal Council, its member trade associations and numerous other industry bodies. Chaired by the new governing body, Lord Rupert Redesdale, the show’s reach will be year-round, with major initiatives, challenges and success stories discussed and showcased in detail on the show floor.

The entire metal supply chain will be represented by industry experts, leading suppliers and trade players, including primary metal manufacturing, supply chain management, metalworking, fabrication, surface coating and recycling.

Theatre themes include supply chain, innovation, skills, circular economy and resources. These will set the tone for the event, while the main content of the event will be determined by the agenda set by the Council each year.
